NYFA 2020 Emerging Arts Leaders

I’m honored and delighted to have been chosen for the 2020 cohort of New York Foundation for the Arts’ Emerging Arts Leaders program, in my capacity as Executive Artistic Director of Beyond the Wall. As a member of the 25 person cohort, I’ll go through intensive leadership training over the next 9 months in a rigorous, collaborative setting.

Here’s how NYFA describes the program:

New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA)’s intensive professional development program for arts administrators turns six this year! After careful consideration, we are pleased to announce the participants in the 2020 cohort of our Emerging Leaders Program, made possible through American Express. The program provides free leadership training for arts administrators over nine months, and more than 125 arts administrators have participated in the program since its inception.

NYFA believes that investments in cultural infrastructure build stronger links and shared knowledge between artists and arts administrators, which benefits the entire field.”

Being selected is an honor, and I’m thrilled to be among a group including folks from the New Museum, Irish Rep, StoryCorp, Queens Council for the Arts, the Academy of American Poets, and many more. The orientation was a blast, and I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone better over the next 9 months!
